Technology
From Bertelsmann Future Challenges
The ways digital and nano technologies evolve are breathtaking. Ever faster, ever smaller, ever less visible. Technology becomes omnipresent, with consequences both good and bad. What we see today is only a glimpse of what will be possible in the next 20 years.Today's technology enables us to connect instantly; from almost anywhere, at anytime, at the touch of a finger or in the blink of an eye. Tomorrow, digital and nano technologies will allow seamless transitions between the real and digital worlds. This will be true across industries and all over the world. It's no longer a question of IF it will happen, it is only a question of HOW FAST will it happen. The process has already begun.
This has a transformative impact on the way we live, work and communicate. It has dramatically changed our global culture already, and it will continue to do so.
